Finally it's Over..

At last, our project now has been unofficially accepted by the client. The Initial Acceptance will be signed by them very soon, I hope it will be smooth...

To be frank, it's been like working like s*** for the past over 1 year with the client. What has coz it? The immature, emotional and arrogant new, young engineers. To tell ya, they got their own idea, so-called design and all the procedures which may not exist in the ConstructionWorld!!!

For example, how do we do earth works during the wet season? Technically, its quite impossible because of high moisture content unable to compact, it creates environmental issues i.e. dirty the road, slippery, wasting of material when you have to scrap the earth top layers etc. (anything you can imagine). Flat surface earth must effectively drain the surface run-off water, like the airport run-way etc. But the client's engineer instruction is ridiculous. Their instruction sometimes will results in poor quality of works.

Well, enough of bad talking. Its finally over. Not totally over cos we'll start a new phase with almost the same scope of work. At least, we are better prepare now.

The pose of the missing Diver...

1. Ahaha.....it has been more than two years since the last update in my blog.

2. This blogs is supposely promote my diving activities, environment, interesting island and the beautiful creatures (such as manta stingray http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stingray , nudibranch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nudibranch etc). However due to the recent incident whereby my BCD burst and my regulator hoses leaks during the last diving, I have hang my booty and wet suit temporary in the closet.

3. I did my last diving in Kimanis Bay observing the cutting and extracting the ancient sunken shipwreck probably aged 25years. The rate of corrosion and growth of barnacles can explain them all. The best part is there is Turtle lives in the shipwreck!

4. Anyway, thats the last time I dive. Im looking forward to go dive again but this time, I'll bring my ex-gf aka wife ahaha....I wonder when will the time come.

What happened to Ringgit???

1. I read a very interesting article by people in my favorite newspaper, Daily Express last Sunday August,26 2012 titled " HOW OUR CURRENCY FARES TODAY AGAINST SPORE,BRUNEI.

2. In the early days of independent, one ringgit malaysia (RM1) was equivalent with 1 Brunei dollar (B$1) or 1 Singapore dollar (S$1). However nowadays our dearly ringgit Malaysia is valued at RM1=B$0.396 (B$1=RM2.523) and RM1=S$0.400 (S$1=RM2.499). Our money has become small and no value!!!

3. One very good example is automotive industry. Car (Sedan Toyoto Brand) for example in early '80s only cost below than RM10,000 with the nominal income of RM1,500. Now, it has cost RM85,000 for the same brand and type! When our national car was introduced, it help the low income group to own a car. I think PR should go reviving the currency RM value rather than try to reduce the car price.

4. Same goes with the other product. Last time roti canai in early '90s only cost below than RM1. Now in 2012, price has gone up to RM1.50. The size and taste also somehow smaller and less tasty.
The economists are blaming the world rising cost of operation/production. However, if we could maintain our currency value, I believe our expenditure wouldn't cost as much as today.

5. The government must gives effort or look for alternative on how to reinstate the RM value.

RCI: Does it really solve Sabah problem?

Some says this is an obselete issue. Some says it is very important to determine Sabah's future. What would you say?
1. Dompok says: PM dijangka akan umum RCI TOR on 11th August 2012
Daily Express 8th August 2012
2. Mahathir says: RCI Sabah Tak Perlu
3. Donald Mojuntion says: Mahathir humiliate Sabah Natives
Daily Express 10th August 2012
4. Bukti Pendatang Asing diberi IC
Why is the government being ignorant on this issue?
There are two possible answer. Either it is baseless. Or this is their (government) work. Evidents are all around. You go to KK Market, you see Philipines. You go Tawau, Sandakan, Lahad Datu or other East Coast Sabah, there are all obviously not local. How can the government turn blind?
I am eager to hear announcement by PM tomorrow on the RCI TOR. By right, if the findings confirm the presence of PATI with genuine IC, this particular term of Parlimentary/State line-up must be revoked. This should be the ultimate result.
I will try to update the RCI TOR content here for discussion.
Till then..
